A gentle place to untangle, heal, and grow
KindLight Therapy & Wellness is the private practice of Laila Sherrod, LCSW, offering warm, inclusive therapy for people navigating change, relationships, parenthood, identity, and emotional wellbeing.

About
I became a therapist because I love hearing people's stories — the messy, beautiful, in-between parts especially. My favorite work is walking with people as they navigate the challenge of finding themselves and learning to love who they truly are.
With over 10 years of experience working in private practice as an LCSW, I bring both clinical depth and a steady, compassionate presence to every session.
Together, we can work through life's harder chapters, whether it's trauma, grief, big transitions, or the daily stress that quietly wears you down. I help clients ease the weight of depression and anxiety, untangle overwhelm, and build practical tools for the moments that feel like too much.
A session with me is meant to feel like a sigh of relief. It's a safe space to share hard truths, sit with what's tender, and give yourself room to grow at your own pace.
I take a whole-body approach to understanding mental health, looking at sleep patterns, nutrition, exercise, stress levels, and the many ways our physical wellbeing connects to how we feel emotionally.

Additional services offered
A big part of my therapeutic approach is stepping back and looking at the client as a whole person — mind and body. Often, what looks like depression or anxiety may actually be linked to unseen physical factors, like vitamin and mineral deficiencies or hormone imbalance.
To support this holistic view of patient wellbeing, I have partnered with Rooted Coaching to offer comprehensive wellness evaluations to clients who would like a deeper look into how their physical wellbeing may be influencing their mental health journey.
Rooted Coaching is a team of healthcare professionals specializing in evidence-based nutrition, lifestyle, and functional health coaching. Their mission is to help individuals identify and address the root causes of their health concerns rather than simply managing symptoms. Through comprehensive lab analysis, personalized nutrition and lifestyle recommendations, and practical education, they empower clients to improve energy, optimize metabolic health, balance hormones, enhance gut health, and create sustainable habits that support long-term wellness. Whether someone is simply looking for answers through lab testing or desires ongoing coaching and accountability, the goal is to provide an individualized plan that fits their unique health goals.
